Shipping Policy

1. Overview
This Shipping Policy outlines the terms relating to shipping of trading cards to and from TCG Doctor in connection with our repair, restoration and related services.
By placing an order with TCG Doctor, you agree to this Shipping Policy.
2. Shipping Cards to TCG Doctor
2.1 Customer Responsibility
Customers are solely responsible for arranging and paying for shipping of cards to TCG Doctor.
We strongly recommend:
Using tracked postage
Purchasing insurance
Retaining proof of postage
Packaging cards securely to prevent bending, moisture or impact damage
TCG Doctor is not liable for cards that are lost, delayed or damaged in transit prior to us taking physical possession.
2.2 Confirmation of Receipt
TCG Doctor conducts post office collections once per week.
Upon collection and inspection, we will send written email confirmation that your order has been received and is in our possession.
Processing and service timelines commence only after this confirmation and internal processing.
3. Return Shipping to Customers
3.1 Standard Return Shipping
All return shipping purchased through TCG Doctor includes signature on delivery.
Tracking details will be provided once dispatched.
3.2 Insurance
Insurance is not included by default.
Insurance may be purchased separately upon customer request.
Where requested, a quote will be provided based on current Australia Post (or carrier) insurance rates.
If insurance is declined, the customer accepts all associated risk once the parcel is lodged with the carrier.
3.3 Transfer of Risk
Risk in the goods transfers to the customer once the parcel is lodged with the postal carrier.
TCG Doctor is not responsible for:
Carrier delays
Loss in transit
Damage during transit
Delivery errors by the carrier
4. International Shipping
International customers acknowledge and agree:
International shipping costs are higher than domestic rates. If actual shipping costs exceed the amount paid at checkout, an invoice will be issued for the outstanding balance prior to dispatch. Insurance for international shipments is strongly recommended but remains at the customer’s discretion.
The customer is responsible for:
Customs duties
Taxes
Import fees
Any local charges
TCG Doctor is not responsible for customs delays, seizure, or additional international charges.
5. Processing and Turnaround Times
5.1 No Guaranteed Standard Timeframes
TCG Doctor does not guarantee turnaround times for standard services.
Workload fluctuates based on volume, complexity of restoration, and operational factors.
We will endeavour to complete work as efficiently as reasonably possible; however, no specific completion date is guaranteed for standard services.
5.2 Express Services
Where an express service is purchased:
Express orders will skip the queue and be prioritised ahead of standard service orders.
Any advertised express timeframe begins only once the order has been processed internally and work has commenced.
The timeframe does not begin:
On the date you ship the item;
On the date we receive the item;
Or prior to commencement of active restoration work.
Express guarantees apply only to queue priority and the applicable internal service timeframe once work has begun.
6. Delays Outside Our Control

Postal or courier services
Customs clearance
Natural disasters
Operational interruptions beyond reasonable control

3. General Refund Principles
Refunds are only provided in accordance with this policy and applicable Australian Consumer Law (“ACL”).
Refunds will not be provided for reasons outside this policy unless required by law.
4. Services – Restoration & Repair
4.1 No Refund After Work Has Commenced
Once TCG Doctor has commenced work on a card:
Service fees are non-refundable;
No partial refunds will be issued based on subjective dissatisfaction;
No refunds will be issued due to grading outcomes, changes in market value, or differences in aesthetic expectation.
This is because restoration and repair services result in permanent or irreversible changes to the card.
4.2 Cancellation Prior to Commencement
Refunds may be issued at our discretion if:
The Customer cancels a service before work has commenced; and
No restoration, assessment, handling, or preparatory work has been performed.
In such cases, an administrative processing fee may be retained.
5. Express Services
Express service fees are non-refundable once:
The order has been processed internally; or
Work has commenced.
Express guarantees relate solely to queue prioritisation and do not constitute guaranteed outcomes.
6. Physical Products
If physical products are sold separate from services:
6.1 Change of Mind
Change of mind refunds are not available; You are not entitled to a refund if you simply decide against a product you have purchased.
6.2 Faulty or Incorrect Products
A refund will be issued if:
The product is faulty;
The product is significantly not as described;
An incorrect item was supplied.
To obtain a refund:
Contact us within 7 days of delivery;
Provide order number, photos and description of the issue.
Returned products must be returned in original condition unless the fault prevents this.
Return shipping costs may be refunded where required by law.
7. Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies your rights under the ACL.
Under the ACL, you may be entitled to a remedy if:
A service is not provided with due care and skill;
A service is not fit for purpose;

3.2 No Guarantee of Grading Outcome
TCG Doctor does not and cannot guarantee specific grading outcomes from third-party grading companies.
Grading decisions are made solely by independent graders and are outside our control.
4. Customer Acknowledgements and Assumptions of Risk
By placing an order:
You acknowledge that card restoration and handling involves inherent risks, including but not limited to accidental damage and changes in market value, grading outcomes, and subjective assessment of condition.
5. Payment Terms
Full payment of restoration or product prices is required at the time of ordering.
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include or exclude taxes as indicated.
Discounts, bundles, or promotional offers are subject to availability and at TCG Doctor’s discretion.
6. Non-Refundability and Store Credits
Once work has commenced on a card or service has been provided, restoration fees are non-refundable.
Refunds for services will not be issued. Where permitted by law, TCG Doctor may offer store credit at its discretion.
Store credits, when issued, are valid for 12 months only from the date of issue.
7. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate contact, billing, and shipping information at checkout.
Fully disclose any previous alterations such as trimming, recolouring, pressing, attempted repairs, or chemical treatments to the card.
Package cards securely for shipping; TCG Doctor is not liable for loss or damage before receipt.
Failure to provide accurate or complete information may void guarantees, support, or service.
8. Shipping and Delivery
8.1 Shipping to TCG Doctor
You are responsible for arranging and paying for all shipping to TCG Doctor.
You should use tracked and insured shipping and retain proof of postage.
TCG Doctor is not responsible for cards lost, delayed, or damaged in transit before receipt.
8.2 Return Shipping
TCG Doctor will dispatch restored cards and product orders via tracked shipping.
Once items are handed to a third-party carrier, liability transfers to you.
TCG Doctor is not responsible for carrier delays, errors, damage, or customs issues.
8.3 International Shipping
International customers are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, customs charges, and fees incurred.
9. Estimated Processing Times
Turnaround times published on the Websites are estimates only and may vary based on volume, card condition, availability of materials, and unforeseen circumstances.
TCG Doctor is not liable for losses arising from delays.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
TCG Doctor’s liability for any loss, damage, claim, or expense arising from services or products provided is limited to the amount paid for the specific service or product.
TCG Doctor is not liable for:
Grading outcomes or decisions;
Changes in market value or resale value;
Loss of sentimental or personal value;
Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Where applicable, nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the Websites, including photos, videos, text, and graphics, is owned by TCG Doctor or licensed to TCG Doctor.
You may not reproduce, distribute, display, or use this content without express written permission.
TCG Doctor may use before/after documentation of restored cards for marketing unless expressly requested otherwise before service.
12. Right to Refuse or Cancel Orders
TCG Doctor reserves the right to refuse, decline, or cancel orders or services where necessary, including but not limited to:
Fraudulent, tampered, altered, or suspicious cards;
Incomplete or false customer information;
Abusive or inappropriate conduct;
Legal, safety, or compliance concerns.
13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the Australian consumer law (ACL)
Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms will be resolved in the courts of the relevant state.
14. Restoration Risk Acknowledgment
14.1 Nature of Restoration
The Customer acknowledges that trading card restoration, cleaning, surface repair, edge repair, crease treatment, pressing, polishing, recolouring, or any related intervention involves inherent and unavoidable risk.
14.2 No Guarantee of Outcome
The Customer acknowledges and agrees:
Results are not guaranteed;
Restoration may improve, have no impact on, or adversely affect the appearance or perceived condition of a card;
Restoration may impact grading outcomes, resale value, liquidity, or desirability;
Grading companies may detect restoration or alteration.
14.3 Assumption of Risk
By submitting a card for service, the Customer voluntarily assumes all risks associated with restoration services.
15. Declared Value & Liability Cap
15.1 Declared Value Requirement
The Customer must declare an accurate market value for each card at the time of order.
15.2 Liability Cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TCG Doctor’s total liability for any loss, damage or claim relating to a card shall be limited to the lesser of:
(a) The declared value of the card; or
(b) The amount paid for the specific service performed on that card.
15.3 Undervalued or Non-Declared Cards
If a Customer fails to declare a value, liability shall automatically be limited to the service fee paid for that card.
15.4 Exclusion of Speculative or Future Value
TCG Doctor is not liable for:
Market fluctuations;
Future appreciation;
Lost resale opportunities;
Auction losses;
Sentimental value.
16. Insurance & Risk Allocation
16.1 Customer Shipping Risk
Risk of loss or damage remains with the Customer until TCG Doctor confirms possession via email.
16.2 Return Shipping Risk
Risk transfers back to the Customer once the parcel is lodged with the postal carrier.
16.3 Insurance Optional
Insurance for return shipping is optional and must be requested by the Customer.
If insurance is declined, the Customer accepts all risk once dispatched.
16.4 Limitation to Carrier Compensation
In the event of loss during insured transit, recovery shall be limited to the compensation paid by the carrier.
17. Express Service Clarification
17.1 Queue Priority Only
Express service guarantees priority in queue positioning only.
17.2 Commencement of Timeframe
Any express timeframe begins only once:
The order has been processed internally;
The card is in our possession;
Active restoration work has commenced.
17.3 No Guarantee Prior to Commencement
Express timeframes do not begin from:
The date the Customer posts the card;
The date the card is delivered;
Any date prior to active commencement of work.
18. Force Majeure
TCG Doctor shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Postal or courier disruptions
Natural disasters
Government actions
Supply shortages
Technical failures
Illness or workforce disruption
19. Indemnity
The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless TCG Doctor, its directors, contractors and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages or expenses arising from:
Misrepresentation of card condition or value;
Failure to disclose prior alterations;
Disputes with grading companies;
Resale disputes involving third parties.
20. Dispute Resolution
21.1 Good Faith Negotiation
Parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith before commencing legal proceedings.
21.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
21.3 Jurisdiction
The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
22. Variations and Updates
TCG Doctor may update these Terms at any time. Revised Terms will be published on the Websites with a new “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Websites or services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
